Cette unité d’enseignement vise à amener les étudiant(e)s à comprendre les principes, les avantages et les défis de la collaboration interprofessionnelle, en partenariat avec le patient et sa famille. Elle permet également d’identifier les facteurs influençant cette collaboration et de discuter de son impact sur le patient, ses proches, l’équipe de soins, la qualité des soins et l’organisation. Elle contribue au développement des compétences « Collaborer avec les professionnels de la santé dans toute situation de soins », « Agir avec humanisme avec la personne/famille/communauté dans leurs expériences de santé », « S’engager dans un processus continu de professionnalisation », « Traiter toute activité avec rigueur scientifique » et « exercer un leadership dans les soins ».
