Clinical approach to SLT 3

This TU is part of the Bachelors degree in Speech and Language Therapy, in semesters 3. It is mandatory. It allows the students to establish links between theoretical acquisitions and their observations during their training, and to develop their skills and clinical know-hows. This TU contributes to the development of the following competencies: 1/ Clinical approach: Conduct interventions for screening and assessments in Speech and language Therapy within a clinical approach. 2/ Collaboration: Collaborate with different stakeholders in order to establish appropriate intervention adapted to the context, and suited to each individual. 3/ Communication skills: Provide health professionals, parents and patient’s environment with information about the specificities of the disorders encountered and their impact on the individual’s life, for prevention and screening purposes. 4/ Therapeutic relationship: Establish and maintain a valuable therapeutic relationship with the client and with his family and relatives. 5/ Research: Engage actively in a clinical research process in order to better improve linguistic knowledge as well as to strengthen Speech and Language Therapy in Lebanon. 6/ Professionalism: Respect the ethical code in practicing Speech and Language Therapy
