The Ophthalmology module is part of Semester one of the initial training program for speech-language therapist. This is a mandatory subject. Its main objective is to introduce students to the phenomena of vision and expose them to the pathologies most frequently encountered in their daily practice. It also provides foundational concepts related to orthoptist and emphasizes the importance of the complementary roles between speech-language pathologists and ophthalmologists.
