The course aims to show the complexity of conflicts and conflict analysis, deconstructing some prevalent approaches while examining tools used for conflict management and resolution. During the course we will examine and analyse specific conflicts, identifying different factors (demographic, geographic, military, economic, geopolitical, and historical) and highlighting the complicated interaction of external and internal factors in violence and wars using a multifactorial approach rooted in political science.
